The INFANT Research Centre at University College Cork is seeking an experienced and highly motivated candidate for the position of Senior Research Coordinator (Research Engagement and Strategic Partnerships Manager). The appointee will support the strategic development, research engagement, partnership development and sustainability of INFANT, with particular responsibility for strengthening INFANT's contribution to UCC Futures - Children.
The post will be based in INFANT and will report to the Director of INFANT and Director of UCC Futures - Children, or nominee. The appointee will work closely with the INFANT leadership team, UCC Futures - Children leads, academic and clinical colleagues, the Research Support Officer, relevant UCC professional services and external partners. The role will connect INFANT's research strengths in maternal, fetal, newborn and child health with the wider interdisciplinary priorities of UCC Futures - Children.
The successful candidate will contribute to strategic planning, research engagement, partnership development, collaborative research initiatives, research funding and impact. The appointee will work in partnership with the UCC Advancement Office and Cork University Foundation to support the development of opportunities for philanthropic support that are aligned with agreed research priorities and University processes. The role requires sound judgement, discretion and diplomacy, together with the ability to translate complex research priorities into clear propositions for partners, funders, policymakers, charities, community organisations and philanthropic partners.

Salary: Pro rata (80%), Admin III Salary Scale (Scale B): €61,471 - €73,392.
Salary placement on appointment will be in accordance with public sector pay policy.
