Due to our ongoing success securing large-scale projects we now have a requirement for a CQV Utilities Engineer based onsite with us in Limerick.

Responsibilities

Provide fundamental engineering support including process understanding, problem solving, project management, and engineering design.

Support and review root-cause analysis associated with utility area events.

Provide back-up support for Utility and HVAC engineers as required.

Coach and mentor team members to develop engineering capability across the group.

Review the qualification basis of equipment and ensure systems are appropriate for their intended purpose.

Ensure changes, maintenance, and other interventions do not adversely affect the qualification state of equipment.

Participate in equipment reliability processes and initiatives for equipment and associated systems.

Provide engineering support for Process Safety Management (PSM).

Provide engineering oversight of Process Safety business processes.

Review and/or approve significant changes, maintenance, and other interventions for potential adverse impact on the safety integrity of equipment or processes.

Support the Utilities area in implementing countermeasures arising from Quality and EHS events, ensuring CAPAs are practical and implementable

Analyse utility area metrics to identify improvement opportunities in:
  • Change Over Time & Process Variability
  • Event Root Causes

Provide oversight in developing technical process information including:
  • P&IDs and PFDs (Equipment Flow Charts)
  • Process Safety Information
  • Equipment Operating Procedures

Review and approve documentation and decisions requiring 'Responsible Engineer' level of authority.

Qualifications

  • Level 8 Engineering Degree (required).
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in an engineering, maintenance, or technical support environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of utility, HVAC, and process equipment.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply fundamental engineering principles to process understanding, problem solving, and improvement.
