Job Objectives

  • Live our Mission, Vision and Values.
  • Ensure best practice in the Safe Management and Administration of Medication throughout the service.
  • Organise and manage clinics.
  • Provide Clinical supervision to nursing team.
  • Develop and deliver Clinical Training as required.
  • Support in the development of Policy, Protocols, and Guidelines in line with best practice.
  • Support the Monitoring health checks relevant to certain medication.
  • Liaise with other Health Care Professionals.
  • Support in the development of Specific Health Management Plans to meet the physical health needs of new admissions to the service.
  • Respond to clinical needs with any house across the service.
  • Administration of depots and phlebotomy as required. Facilitate the running of the psychiatric clinic, and where appropriate, manage a caseload of individuals under the supervision of the treating psychiatrist. The list of key duties is not exhaustive.

Skills Requirement

Essential Criteria:
• Holds a professional registration with NMBI.
• If qualified outside the Republic of Ireland, their qualification is validated by the Department of Health or may be working towards meeting compensatory criteria set up by the department
• Ability to effectively and concisely communicate with team members, management, external contractors, and any other key business relationships.

Preferred Criteria:
• Hold a postgradute qualification relevant to nursing practice
• A nurse prescribing qualification, or intention to complete same within one year of commencing in post, is preferred
