Role Profile

The successful candidate should have a PhD in English Literature or a cognate discipline, and they should have extensive experience of teaching Children's and Young Adult Literature at both Undergraduate and Postgraduate Level. They should also be able to contribute to modules on Gender and Sexuality, a survey module on fiction, and offer a final year Undergraduate Research Seminar. They should relate their teaching to their research, and be research active. They should also be ready to perform administrative duties related to these teaching responsibilities and be prepared to take on a service role as required by the Head of School.

Salary Scale:

Assistant Professor Salary Scale: €65,229 - €104,536

Appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience and in line with current Government pay policy.
