Project Engineer - Water & Wastewater

Job Description Our Client is seeking a Water & Wastewater Project Engineer to support the delivery of water, wastewater and effluent treatment infrastructure for a new brewery development in Newbridge. Working as part of the client project team, the successful candidate will act as the interface between the main client, engineering consultants and construction contractors to ensure the successful delivery of water and wastewater systems throughout design, construction and commissioning phases. The position will focus on project coordination, contractor management, technical review and ensuring works are delivered safely, to specification and in line with project schedules. Key Responsibilities Act as the client's day-to-day representative for water, wastewater and effluent-related project activities. Coordinate with engineering consultants responsible for the design of water and wastewater systems. Review drawings, technical submissions and contractor documentation to ensure project requirements are met. Support the management of water treatment, wastewater treatment and effluent system installations on site. Monitor contractor performance, quality and progress throughout construction. Attend project, design and site coordination meetings. Assist with resolving technical queries arising during construction. Support commissioning, testing and handover activities. Ensure works comply with project standards, environmental requirements and safety procedures. Coordinate closely with operations, utilities and environmental stakeholders. Experience Required Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline. 3-7 years' engineering experience within: Water treatment Wastewater treatment Utilities projects Environmental engineering Food & beverage, pharmaceutical or industrial facilities Experience working with engineering consultants and construction contractors. Understanding of water and wastewater treatment processes. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Desirable Experience Food & beverage or manufacturing project experience. Experience with: Effluent treatment systems Water distribution networks Pumping systems Utility infrastructure projects Exposure to commissioning and start-up activities. Understanding of environmental compliance requirements
