We are now looking for a highly capable, driven, and ambitious Senior Account Manager to join our Healthcare team on the Pharmaceutical side.
The Role
As a Senior Account Manager in our Pharma team, you will be a lead contact for key clients, delivering world-class communications and public relations strategies. You will manage complex projects with a high degree of independence, exercising sound judgment and strategic foresight.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to "act up" for the Account Director, lead media and stakeholder relations campaigns, and mentor a talented team of junior consultants.
Key Responsibilities
- Account Leadership: Act as a primary client contact, demonstrating a deep understanding of their business, therapeutic areas, and PR objectives.
- Campaign Delivery: Design and execute impactful media relations, patient advocacy, and digital/social campaigns tailored to the pharmaceutical sector.
- Strategic Foresight: Exercise sound judgment to manage complex client situations, including strategy shifts and issues/crisis management.
- Content Excellence: Write and deliver high-quality scientific and consumer-facing materials, including press releases, campaign plans, and annual programs.
- Team Development: Supervise, mentor, and actively support the professional growth of Account Executives and Interns on a day-to-day basis.
- Business Growth: Contribute to new business development, finding creative ways to grow existing client accounts and pitching to secure new pharmaceutical business.
- Financial & Resource Management: Manage project budgets, billing, and timelines efficiently to ensure maximum productivity and value for clients.
About You
You are an experienced PR and communications professional with a passion for healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and science. You are comfortable navigating the regulatory landscape of pharma communications while still bringing creativity and strategic thinking to the table.
Your Experience & Skills:
- Sector Experience: Proven experience working in healthcare/pharmaceutical PR, ideally within an agency environment.
- Media & Stakeholder Relations: A strong track record of managing media relations and working with medical stakeholders or patient advocacy groups.
- Writing & Communication: Exceptional copywriting and editing skills, with the ability to translate complex medical data into compelling, compliant narratives.
- Crisis & Issue Management: Experience in providing support during sensitive client issues or crisis situations.
- Leadership & Collaboration: Strong supervisory and team-building skills, with a collaborative, solution-oriented mindset.
- Digital Savvy: A solid understanding of the digital/social media landscape and how it applies to healthcare communications.
