We are looking for an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team, supporting projects across Galway and Mayo.


This role offers the opportunity to take commercial responsibility for major construction projects, working alongside Project Managers, Site Teams, and Senior Commercial staff to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

What You'll Do

  • Manage the commercial and contractual aspects of construction projects from commencement through to final account

  • Prepare and manage project budgets, cost plans, and financial forecasts

  • Measure and value works completed by subcontractors and suppliers

  • Prepare and submit interim valuations, payment applications, and final accounts

  • Procure subcontractors and manage the tendering process

  • Assess and agree variations and change orders

  • Monitor project costs and identify opportunities to maximise commercial performance

  • Work closely with Project Managers and Site Teams to support successful project delivery

  • Prepare monthly commercial reports for senior management

  • Ensure all commercial documentation is accurate and maintained throughout the project lifecycle

  • Assist in the negotiation and administration of subcontractor accounts

  • Support the delivery of projects in line with programme, quality, and budget objectives

What We're Looking For

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related discipline

  • 4–6 years' experience in a Quantity Surveying role within the construction industry

  • Experience managing the commercial aspects of residential, commercial, healthcare, industrial, or public sector projects

  • Strong understanding of construction contracts and cost management

  • Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills

  • Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and commercial management software

  • Full driving licence and willingness to travel across Galway and Mayo
