Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for a full-time, fixed-term contract as a Research Assistant - Programmer / Database Developer with the CORRIB Research Centre for Advanced Imaging and Core Laboratory at the University of Galway.
This position is funded through research funding and is available for an initial fixed-'term period of up to 12 months, with the possibility of extension subject to funding and performance.
The CORRIB Research Centre for Advanced Imaging and Core Laboratory supports clinical research studies, including investigator led studies and clinical trials, through the provision of imaging, laboratory, data management and analytical expertise. The Core Lab works closely with industrial partners, principal investigators, clinicians, statisticians, data managers and researchers to support high-quality research conducted in accordance with applicable ethical and regulatory requirements.
Salary: Research Assistant salary scale €34,129 - €44,311 per annum, (subject to the project's funding limitations), and pro rata for shorter and/or part-time contracts.
The default position for all new public sector appointments is the 1st point of the salary scale. This may be reviewed, and consideration afforded to appointment at a higher point on the payscale (subject to the project's funding limitations), where evidence of prior years' equivalent experience is accepted in determining placement on the scale above point 1, subject to the maximum of the scale.
