What is the role?
The Assistant Inventory Controller is responsible for all activities related to inventory control within the warehouse environment and is also fully trained on the kitting process in Parkmore. Their main objective is to ensure that all materials are properly stored and that accurate and appropriate levels of inventory are maintained in order to meet customer demand. Performance is measured on achieving inventory accuracy, developing and implementing continuous improvement processes, executing agreed upon financial requirements, and passing external audits.
What are the key responsibilities?
• Inventory transactions.
• Part of the inventory team, responsible for picking daily jobs required to meet production requirements.
• Fully trained on the kitting process in Parkmore and may be diverted to help in kitting as required by the Snr warehouse supervisor.
• Maintains and file transaction records.
• Maintains inventory procedures.
• Supports process improvement for inventory control.
• Assist with Monthly cycle counting as requested on evening shift.
• Maintain the flow of material through MRB and Rework.
• Manages MRB for in-process fails in conjunction with Quality as requested by Snr Warehouse Supervisor.
• Support of consigned inventory processes.
• Performance will be measured on the following.
• Achieving inventory accuracy
• Developing and implementing continuous improvement processes
• Executing agreed upon financial requirements.
• Internal and external audits.
• Maybe required to help in Shannon warehouse occasionally as requested by the Snr Warehouse supervisors.
• Responsible for handling receipt of the incoming material and receiving such deliveries onto the CSI system and assigning suitable storage locations for these items.
• Assisting the Snr Warehouse Supervisor and inventory team with ensuring good GMP and housekeeping is maintained in the warehouse.
• Responsible for receipt of deliveries from Shannon and for putting away this stock.
• Responsible for organizing shipments to Shannon of both raw material and finished goods for storage.
• Review obsolescence and physically scrap and adjust accordingly.
• Support ERP improvements.
• Updating stock information in the inventory management system.
• Assist with Monthly Financial Audits of Inventory stock.
• Assist with Physical inventory counts as required.
• Assist with Material Requisitions as requested by the Snr Warehouse supervisor if required
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned as required.
What education and experience are required?
• Significant experience using MRP / ERP systems
• Experience of performing cycle counting required
• Experience of performing investigation and resolving cycle count discrepancies.
• Experience of regulated environments is a plus
• A relevant qualification in Supply chain or Business would be an advantage.
What key skills will make you great at the role?
• The ideal candidate must have prior inventory experience in a medical device manufacturing and/or fulfilment environment and possess strong knowledge of supply chain and operational processes.
• Excellent organizational skills, ability to balance immediate/long term priorities and exceptional multi-tasking skills are necessary
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Data analysis and numeric skills with the ability to evaluate, analyse and present data.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently under pressure and react quickly to changing priorities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong attention to details
• Proficiency in Excel.
• Forklift driving
