Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Group Insurance Manager based in our Naas office, reporting to the Head of Legal.
In this role, you will lead the end-to-end management of the Group's insurance programme across the Republic of Ireland and United Kingdom. You will be responsible for developing and managing policy placement, ensuring appropriate levels of insurance cover, negotiating policy terms and conditions, and aligning the insurance programme with the Group's strategic objectives.
You will provide expert risk management advice across the business and act as the primary liaison between Enva, its insurance brokers, and insurers, ensuring effective communication and the timely resolution of insurance-related matters.

Key Responsibilities
- Undertake the annual renewal of the Group insurance programme and examine policy documentation to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Oversee underwriting data collection and create insurance submissions to ensure adherence to the Insurance Act 2015 requirements.
- Manage the relationship with Enva's insurers and brokers.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of claims across all insurance lines.
- Train and supervise insurance team members, providing regular support and assistance.
- Provide professional and timely insurance advice across the organisation.
- Provide advice regarding insurance terms and conditions within commercial contracts.
- Analyse and interpret claims data to produce regular reports, including claims analysis reports for directors and senior managers.
- Provide support to the Insurance Administrator in the claim notification and management process so that the insurers have sufficient information to investigate claims.
- Manage property and casualty surveys with insurers and facilitate operational risk surveys and workshops at local business units, issuing recommendation reports and providing feedback to the broker and insurers at regular intervals.
- Provide insurance due diligence and integration support on M&A opportunities.
- Provide support to the business on projects such as the installation of new plant and machinery, ensuring adequate insurance levels and compliance with policy terms and conditions.
- Manage and track insurance costs to the business, making sure provisions are made for policy deductibles.
- Mitigate risk by utilising safety initiatives, training and consulting services offered by the broker and insurer. Procuring risk management bursaries where possible.
- Develop and improve standard operating procedures to ensure processes are efficient.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Recent experience working in an insurance and risk management role, with approximately 6-10 years' relevant experience.
- Experience managing corporate insurance programmes, including policy placement, renewals, claims management, and working with insurance brokers and insurers.
- Line management or supervisory experience.
- Experience in an accounting, finance, or commercial role would be advantageous.
- Professional membership of the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) or an equivalent insurance qualification.
- Good knowledge of insurance principles, policy wordings, and risk management practices.
- Strong working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Self-motivated, well organised, and able to prioritise workload effectively while managing multiple deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and communicate confidently at all levels of the organisation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to make sound commercial decisions.
