The Laboratory Analyst is responsible for carrying out laboratory testing safely, accurately and efficiently in accordance with approved methods, ISO 17025 requirements and SGS Quality Management Systems. The role supports the delivery of high-quality analytical services while maintaining the highest standards of quality, health & safety and environmental compliance.

Job Description

ROLE OVERVIEW
  • Job Title: Laboratory Analyst
  • Job Type: 6 month FTC
  • Location: Dublin
  • Hours: 40 per week
  • Salary: €38,000 - €42,000
  • Industry: Oil, Gas & Chemical

overview of the role
  • Perform analytical testing using approved laboratory methods and procedures.
  • Prepare, handle and analyse customer samples accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain compliance with ISO 17025 and SGS Quality Management Systems.
  • Record, review and report analytical data accurately.
  • Participate in laboratory quality control, verification and validation activities.
  • Assist with internal and external laboratory audits.
  • Ensure laboratory equipment is maintained, calibrated and fit for purpose.
  • Follow all Health, Safety and Environmental procedures and participate in risk assessments.
  • Report incidents, non-conformances and assist with corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and work effectively as part of the laboratory team.


Qualifications

You will also have the following...
  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
  • Experience working in an analytical laboratory environment.
  • Knowledge of ISO 17025 or equivalent quality systems is desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Good communication and IT skills.
