This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Design Engineer, Embedded Agreements based in Ireland.
This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of how users and developers interact with powerful digital agreement workflows. You will operate at the intersection of product design and frontend engineering, owning strategic API and integration experiences that connect users with the tools and platforms they rely on. As the first Design Engineer in this area, you will have significant influence over product direction, technical patterns, and user experiences. You will collaborate closely with product, research, and engineering teams to design intuitive solutions for both developers and emerging AI-powered workflows. This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys building from zero, combining design thinking with technical execution, and creating products that evolve with rapidly changing technology.
Accountabilities
- Own the end-to-end design and implementation of API and integration experiences, including developer-facing surfaces, documentation experiences, and user workflows.
- Partner with product and research teams to define strategy for evolving technical surfaces as AI assistants, MCP, and new development patterns reshape user expectations.
- Design and prototype AI-native experiences that connect users with modern assistant ecosystems and agent-driven workflows.
- Shape integration experiences by improving how users connect their existing tools and determining the best balance between built-in integrations and customer-driven connections.
- Transform concepts from design files, product ideas, or AI-assisted workflows into production-ready React components with strong usability, accessibility, and performance.
- Establish and evolve Design Engineering practices as the first specialist in this function, owning projects from initial problem definition through launch.
- Bring technical expertise into the design process by collaborating with designers, sharing frontend patterns, and improving cross-functional capabilities.
- Use AI-first development workflows and tools to accelerate delivery while maintaining high-quality engineering standards.
Requirements
- Strong experience combining product design and frontend engineering, with a portfolio of shipped interfaces, components, or user experiences.
- Advanced proficiency in React, TypeScript, modern CSS, and frontend development practices.
- Experience working closely with APIs, developer tools, or technical product experiences.
- Strong understanding of developer experience principles and the ability to design intuitive technical workflows.
- Genuine curiosity about how AI assistants, MCP, and emerging technologies are changing the way users interact with software.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot, or similar solutions, with a clear understanding of how to achieve reliable production-quality results.
- Ability to work independently, define direction in ambiguous environments, and collaborate effectively with product and engineering teams.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts and design decisions clearly.
