To perform such duties as may be assigned by the {Production Manager/Deputy or such other person as may be designated by the Board.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsible for the receipt of catering goods and foodstuffs through the delivery bay area. Follow and record HACCP procedures pertaining to same.
• Organising, decanting and storing all supplies in the appropriate catering area in line with correct stock rotation procedures.
• Tidying and cleaning storage areas.
• Washing and cleaning of production areas, delivery area and service area to include floors, walls, window ledges and doors etc.
• Operating mechanical lifts to transport deliveries through the areas.
• Operating cleaning equipment and kitchen service equipment.
• Undertake the associated temperature monitoring, recording and control procedures. Alert management to any incorrect reading or incidents of poor food quality in order that remedial action can be taken.
• Cleaning and correct storage of all cleaning equipment and refrigerated units.
• Ensure specialised equipment is in place
• Reporting and cleaning all food related spillages adhering to departmental safety measures in relation to same.
• Collection and disposal of rubbish within kitchen area.
• Deal with customer/staff queries in an effective and efficient manner. Behave in a courteous, helpful manner with customers and work peers at all times.
• Correctly portion, label, package, store and ensure the safe regeneration including temperature recording of foodstuffs to Creche and Leo Street.
• Probing of chilled and hot foodstuffs and refrigerated equipment.
• Clearing of service counters, shelving units, refrigeration units and tables.
• Correct pre-requisite and food safety record keeping.
• To report to management immediately any accidents, incidents, fire, obvious hazards, stock loss, damage, unfit food and take such action as may be appropriate.
• Any other duties relevant to the post as may be allocated by the Catering Officer.
