Permanent Full-time 39 hours

About the Role:

To assist in the delivery of individualized community support to a number of clients with intellectual, physical and or mental health disability., some who may present with behaviors that challenge Supporting clients in their communities and some in their own home, working towards optimizing their social, psychological, intellectual, domestic community living and daily living functioning .

What we're looking for:

  • Minimum QQI Level 5 preference is for Health and Social Care or equivalent.
  • Previous experience of working with clients with Autism is highly desirable or a willingness to develop skills in this area is essential
  • Willingness to participate in RehabCare mandatory and further development training programmes
  • Minimum of one year work experience in the area of intellectual, physical and or mental health disability
  • Experience of working 1:1 with clients in the community
  • Experience of promoting self-advocacy
  • Experience in the provision of personal care
  • Strong IT and reporting skills
  • Full clean driving license

Your Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, and monitor community-based programmes that promote educational, recreational, and occupational inclusion, in collaboration with families, teams, and community partners.
  • Establish a respectful working relationship with service users, setting mutual expectations and ensuring honesty, transparency, and shared responsibility.
  • Support the individual in building a positive self-image, including personal presentation and social inclusion that aligns with their age and culture.
  • Develop and maintain a community profile based on the individual's interests, to identify meaningful roles and opportunities for participation.
  • Keep accurate, up-to-date records using RehabCare's online system, ensuring compliance with data protection and quality standards.

Salary Details : Community Support Worker- We offer a competitive starting salary of € 31,561.56 -€ 35,982.43 per annum (Points 1-5 of the scale), based on qualifications and experience. The 12-point salary scale provides annual progression opportunities up to €43,731.06 per annum.
