Applications are invited for a specified purpose post of a UCD Research Fellow within UCD School of Medicine
This research fellow position is based in the School of Medicine at University College Dublin and will contribute to advancing research in glucose metabolism. The induction of glycolysis by hypoxia in cells has important implications for developing our understanding of diseases such as cancer and chronic inflammation. The successful candidate will investigate the mechanism(s) regulating glucose metabolism in intestinal epithelial cells. This work builds on recent findings (Kierans et al. PNAS 2023, Flood et al. JBC 2023, Kierans J Biol Chem 2024) and aligns with the school's strategic focus on translational biomedical research.
Fixed Salary €67,214 Per Annum
Appointment on the above range will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.
