Purpose of the Role:

The purpose of this post is to the post holder has a pivotal role in co-ordination and management of activity and resources within the clinical area. The main responsibilities are staffing and staff development, facilitating communication and professional/clinical leadership. The role will proactively manage the Theatre daily activities, together with the CNM2 to provide quality and safety outcomes for patients and their families.

Essential Criteria:
  • RGN/RCN registered with of the Register of Nurses & Midwives maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland;
  • Minimum 3 years post registration with theatre nursing experience in an acute clinical environment within the last 7 years.
  • A primary degree in Nursing or Post Graduate Diploma.
