Maths & Engineering Instructor
The Mathematics & Engineering Support Centre at ATU Galway-Mayo provides academic support in mathematics, statistics and engineering to students across disciplines. With increasing student demand across programmes in engineering, science, business, finance, computing and related fields, ATU Galway-Mayo now seeks to appoint a full-time Instructor to coordinate and further develop this provision. This new Instructor post will provide strategic leadership, coordination and development of the Centre, in addition to delivering direct student support.
The Instructor will:
• Coordinate and manage the day-to-day operation of the Mathematics and Engineering Support Centre at ATU Galway-Mayo.
• Provide structured and drop-in academic support to students across all relevant disciplines.
• Lead the strategic development, promotion and quality enhancement of the Centre.
• Manage and coordinate PhD tutors who contribute allocated support hours.
• Collaborate with other ATU support centres to develop community-facing and enrichment initiatives.
The appointee shall carry out such duties as are assigned to him/her in accordance with collective agreements arrived at from time to time and authorised by the Minister for Education and Skills.
