Role Profile
The School of Policy and Practice is seeking to recruit an Assistant Professor in Education with particular expertise in professional studies in education and the role of professional placement in initial teacher education. A significant element of the role will involve the coordination and development of school placement across DCU teacher education programmes as part of a team of school placement coordinators with a specific focus on primary education. The role will involve frequent engagement with students, tutors, schools and professional and academic colleagues. In addition, familiarity with recent and emerging trends in Irish primary education is important.

Salary Scale:
Assistant Professor - €65,229 - €104,536 (*PhD is required for this scale)
Lecturer Below Bar - €49,429 - €67,224
Appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience and in line with current Government pay policy.
