Job Summary:

The College welcomes hundreds of new learners annually to its Dublin campus. The CAO market is a key element of this intake, particularly onto full-time undergraduate programmes.

We are seeking to recruit an additional member to join the team to grow interest and awareness of Griffith College with second level students. This ideal person needs to be a self-starter, be organised and creative along with having strong event management and communication skills to lead our marketing and recruitment efforts with a national CAO audience.

The successful person will work with our faculties to create and develop new, exciting schools events that appeal to second level and CAO students as well as to engage with them on a daily / weekly / monthly basis.

The successful person will work closely with the college's digital marketing team to implement effective digital, CRM and social media communication strategies to reach this target audience. They will act as point person for guidance counsellors and second level teachers.

The successful candidate will also assist with enquiries and recruitment campaign activity onto the college's undergraduate programmes, working with a dynamic and motivated group of colleagues at our Dublin campus.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive annual undergraduate recruitment plan to maximize Griffith's student recruitment for undergraduate domestic full-time students and achieve recruitment revenue targets for this area.
  • Develop and implement an effective School Liaison strategy to promote Griffith College's CAO programmes in schools, colleges of further education and other relevant institutions, with a particular focus on our core intake hinterland of Dublin, Kildare, Meath and Wicklow.
  • Promote the college to audiences including secondary school students, mature students, school guidance counsellors, schoolteachers and principals, parents and the media.
  • Monitor, evaluate and respond to trends, developments, threats and opportunities while actively increasing conversion rates.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to schools outlining the programmes available in Griffith College, while engaging with guidance counsellors to arrange visits and to ensure the continued relevance of content.
  • Oversee and implement the College's main schools events - Schools Week (Q4 each year), faculty 'day-in-the-life' events, Higher Options, Guidance Counsellor events, and other schools related workshops.
  • Seek opportunities to create new events and initiatives to encourage 4th, 5th and 6th year students to visit Griffith's campus; including a dedicated week-long on-campus programme of activities for Transition Year students.
  • Promote Griffith College's apprenticeships and industry scholarships programmes within schools and industry
  • Manage, communicate and oversee the College's open days
  • Project manage the College's annual academic scholarships and bursary initiatives
  • Ensure the Schools and CAO Hub sections of the website are fully up-to-date; undertaking photo and video shoots to keep schools content fresh and engaging
  • Work closely with the College's digital marketing team to ensure schools events and initiatives are effectively promoted on social media and digital channels
  • Target creative, art, music and drama teachers directly to ensure strong awareness of Griffith's creative course offering
  • Work closely with the schools liaison teams in our Cork and Limerick campuses.

Student Recruitment Role Requirements:

  • Undertake the marketing of 1 x CAO faculty, overseeing the marketing, admissions and sales recruitment for that faculty's courses and to pre-agreed commissionable targets.
  • Develop a suite of engaging content - video, imagery, copy - to effectively promote the faculty's programmes and others.
  • Develop a detailed marketing plan to promote the faculty for the spring and autumn intakes.
  • Undertake weekly meetings with the faculty to ensure clarity and progress on agreed goals.
  • Undertake events and initiatives to promote the faculty to its CAO, part-time and mature markets.
  • Work closely with the digital marketing team to develop impactful social media and paidsearch campaigns that maximise leads, applications and enquiries.
  • All Marketing team members may be assigned additional projects or tasks from time to time. These will be allocated across the team and are part of the department's collective remit.

Minimum Education/ Experience Requirements:

  • Possession of a car and full driving licence. Must be eligible to drive in Ireland.
  • Excellent organisational and event management skills
  • Strong content and digital marketing skills
  • Degree level required
  • Strong command of English, both written and verbal
  • Strong networking and interpersonal skills
  • Previous experience in education is desirable
  • Previous experience of marketing and student recruitment is desirable
  • Previous experience in Microsoft Office - PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, Word
  • Must be legally entitled to work full time in Ireland for any employer.
  • Valid Garda vetting (post appointment)
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently with minimum supervision
