• Tints the materials according to the given recipe. Reports mistakes if they occur.

• Retains samples and keeps batch data for future reference.

• Keeps workplace and surrounding areas tidy.

• Keeps all machinery (facility equipment) clean and in working condition. Reports faulty equipment to Blending Supervisor / Facility Manager.

• Maintains safe operating procedures through complete knowledge of safety rules and lab procedures.

• Establishes and maintains effective relationships with those in their line of work

• Follows all waste management procedures Reworks / adjusts returned materials from customers, under instruction from Blender II or III.

• Operates and maintains the Corob / Dromont tinting machine.

• Movement of raw materials between the warehouse and colour laboratory

• May be involved in deliveries to the customer (Facility dependent)

• Other tasks as given by Blender II, Blender III, Blending Supervisor or Facility Manager.

• Ensuring safety of all operations

• Respect planning, directives and deadlines

• Communicating effectively with coworkers and understanding their requirements

• Responsible for ensuring the quality of the colours, stains, solvent and waterborne pigment lacquer.
