We are seeking an Environmental Program Manager to support environmental compliance at AWS facilities in Ireland. You will support standards and policies that ensure regulatory compliance, complete environmental performance and gap analyses, prepare environmental compliance plans for new technologies and/or permits, establish and monitor metrics, and support implementation of AWS environmental standards. You will provide guidance and build effective relationships with internal and external partners, including government entities, contractors, consultants, design, construction, operations and other key stakeholders. You will have an opportunity to support and contribute to large-scale compliance projects for future and operational sites.

Key job responsibilities
- Support the growth of the business through environmental due diligence reviews and permitting support;

- Support regional strategic programmes by integrating with design engineering, construction, and operations;

- Drive an environmentally responsible culture within the organisation;

- Support regulatory agency interactions, permit and licence evaluation and processing, and new process and technology introduction;

- Ensure work performed by contractors, consultants, and employees is completed in accordance with Amazon standards;

- Develop environmental metrics to measure, monitor and forecast performance;

- Conduct thorough and accurate environmental audits for continuous improvement;

- Prioritise and manage multiple technically complex assignments concurrently;

- Represent Amazon at appropriate levels with governmental agencies and throughout the company;

- Build collaborative relationships with various stakeholders to ensure risks are identified early and managed appropriately;

- Assist in time-critical report submissions to various governmental agencies;

- Complete thorough and accurate environmental incident investigations and associated regulatory reports and develop appropriate corrective actions.
