We specialise in the supply installation, maintenance and commissioning of fire alarm systems, and emergency lighting – delivered by our team of highly qualified and experienced engineers installers.

A new and exciting opportunity is available in the Kerry area for a Field Service Engineer. The Engineer will be based mainly around the county of Kerry but travel further afield will be required from time to time. We are looking for a ‘Can Do’ motivated individual who is keen to join our progressive growing company.

Person Spec…

  • At least 3 years proven experience in the Fire Alarm Industry and/or Electronic/Electrical Systems

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, positive ‘Can Do’ attitude

  • Electrical or electronic background 

  • Field service experience desirable

  • English speaking

  • Proficient in MS Office and/or other software programmes

  • Familiarity with mobile tools apps

  • Full Clean Driving Licence

Role…

Servicing and Commissioning Fire Alarm and Emergency Light protection equipment;

  • Servicing and Commissioning equipment according to manufacturer's specifications.

  • Testing system and analysing any failures.

  • Consult with Senior personnel to resolve unusual problems in system operation and maintenance.

  • Advise management regarding customer satisfaction, product performance, and suggestions for product service improvements.

Key Responsibilities…

  • Provide excellent customer service and customer support during field visits or when On Call

  • Build positive relationships with customers and represent Allied Fire in a professional trusted manner

  • Ensuring that company vehicle, uniform and paperwork display a high degree of professionalism

  • Manage all on site service, maintenance and test tasks as required to relevant standards

  • Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine solutions

  • Carry out preventative maintenance make recommendations based on age of systems equipment

  • Produce timely and detailed service reports

  • Cooperate with technical field teams and share information across the company

  • Understand and anticipate customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations/briefings

  • Provide feedback to management regarding customer request, satisfaction, product performance, and suggestions for product improvements.

  • Follow all company’s Standard Operating Procedures and safe working practices

  • Advise and report on change requests for documented processes
