Employee Experience and Productivity (EEP) is part of IS&T and delivers some of the most widely used communication and productivity technology and services across Apple - from tools that enable collaboration to the support teams that keep Apple's workforce running. EEP also leads user experience design and research, and manages the systems behind Apple's original content studios. Within this team is Employee Engagement & Engineering (EEE), a small, global team that quickly delivers with long-term vision, building durable, reliable systems meant to last. Our focus is on crafting high-quality, user-centred experiences - delivering AI and system interoperability to make every interaction intuitive, seamless, and genuinely useful for the people who rely on our tools.
Description
As an Early Careers Full Stack Software Engineer on the EEE team, you will contribute to both the native Apple-platform applications and the backend services that power them. You will work across the stack - building UI in Swift and SwiftUI, integrating with APIs, and contributing to service-layer development - gaining broad experience in how modern platforms are built and operated.
Working under the guidance of senior engineers, you will take ownership of well-scoped tasks that span client and server, building strong foundations in full-stack development within a small, globally distributed team where your contributions are visible from day one.
Minimum Qualifications
Working knowledge of native Apple-platform development
Familiarity with backend development (Python, Java, Go, or similar) and RESTful API design
Understanding of relational databases and basic data modelling
Experience with version control (Git) and collaborative development workflows
Preferred Qualifications
B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
Experience shipping production applications on Apple platforms
Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerised deployments
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines spanning client and server builds
Understanding of authentication, authorisation, and API security patterns
Experience with data persistence on Apple platforms (SwiftData, Core Data)
