Housekeeping Porter
Key Responsibilities
As a Housekeeping Porter, you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring sufficient supplies of linen and towels are available to facilitate efficient room servicing.
- Returning dirty linen to the laundry in a timely manner.
- Supporting the Accommodation team with the movement of beds and furniture.
- Completing high-cleaning and deep-cleaning tasks throughout the resort.
- Removing rubbish and maintaining back-of-house housekeeping areas.
- Assisting with room servicing when required.
- Maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and organisation across all guest and employee areas.
- Supporting the team to ensure an exceptional guest experience at all times.
About the Role
This is an active, hands-on role that involves supporting the Housekeeping team in maintaining the exceptional standards of cleanliness and presentation for which Adare Manor is renowned.
The role includes:
- Manual handling and lifting
- Bending and reaching
- Pushing and pulling housekeeping trolleys and equipment
- Carrying linen, towels, and supplies
- Vacuuming and cleaning duties
- Assisting with deep-cleaning projects across the resort
The successful candidate will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, take pride in maintaining high standards, have a keen eye for detail, and be happy undertaking physical work as part of a team.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- A strong work ethic and positive attitude.

- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A commitment to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.
- Flexibility to work a roster of 5 days over 7, including weekends.
- A full, clean driving licence, as driving forms part of this role.
