Senior Web Engineer

This role offers the opportunity to shape and deliver high-impact web engineering solutions within a globally distributed, open-source driven environment. Accountabilities:
In this role, you will take ownership of key web engineering initiatives, ensuring high-quality delivery, scalability, and maintainability across services and applications.
- Design, develop, and maintain robust web applications using modern technologies, ensuring performance, accessibility, and reliability standards are met
- Lead technical design discussions, architectural decisions, and in-depth code reviews across the web engineering stack
- Contribute to and improve engineering practices, documentation, and development standards across teams
- Identify technical risks, propose solutions, and ensure smooth delivery of complex initiatives from design to deployment
- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues while continuously improving system stability
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product, infrastructure, and operations to deliver end-to-end solutions
- Deploy, operate, and continuously improve services in production environments
Requirements:
We are looking for a highly skilled and proactive engineer with strong technical depth in web technologies and a passion for engineering excellence.
- Strong professional experience in web development with JavaScript, TypeScript, and SCSS, delivering production-grade applications
- Solid understanding of software engineering principles, including system design, scalability, and performance optimization
- Experience working with Linux environments such as Ubuntu or other Linux systems
- Familiarity with open-source development practices and distributed systems environments
- Experience with modern tooling and frameworks, and version control platforms such as GitHub
- Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Proven ability to work autonomously, manage priorities, and deliver high-quality results in a remote, fast-paced environment
- Nice to have: experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, as well as REST API design and performance engineering
