Role description Role description: Reporting to the CSA Department Manager, the CSA Engineer will be a member of the CSA Department supporting the delivery of civil, structural and architectural design services for major pharmaceutical and industrial clients. The role will primarily focus on civil engineering design, including urban drainage systems, roads, site development, earthworks and underground services coordination. The successful candidate will work as part of multidisciplinary project teams, assisting in the delivery of projects from concept through detailed design and construction. The post-holder will be motivated to develop their technical and project delivery skills within a dynamic and fast-paced environment while contributing to the successful delivery of high-quality engineering solutions. The CSA Engineer will work closely with Architects, Structural Engineers and other discipline teams to ensure designs are coordinated, compliant and delivered to programme. The post-holder is expected to demonstrate the Arcadis Core Values at all times. Key Responsibilities Interface with client design teams and project stakeholders as required. Support delivery of design scope within budget and schedule. Prepare engineering calculations, reports, specifications and design documentation. Design and coordinate urban drainage systems, roads, site infrastructure and underground services. Participate in technical, safety and compliance reviews. Support BC(A)R compliance activities where required. Coordinate design activities with other disciplines. Identify and communicate technical issues that may impact quality, cost or schedule. Attend and contribute to design and site meetings as required. Undertake site visits during construction and support resolution of technical queries. Work towards project schedules and target deadlines. Contribute to the continuous improvement of departmental procedures, checklists and guidelines. Other reasonable work as requested by the CSA Department Manager & Operations Director(s) Qualifications & Experience: Minimum 8 years post graduate experience in the Industrial, Pharmaceutical, Life Sciences and Bio-pharma sectors, Candidates should have a third level qualification in the relevant discipline (Civil / Structural Engineering). A member of recognised professional body - MIEI or MIStructE. In depth knowledge of Statutory Consent Processes, Building Regulations and BC(A)R process is essential. Demonstrable design, technical and construction knowledge is essential for this role. Strong detailing, design development and tender pack assembly experience. Experience in leading a design team and coordinating the other team members. Specialist experience in key technical areas to include but not limited to OSD, Filling suites, packaging area requirements, cleanroom layouts & laboratory design experience desirable with good knowledge of utility requirements. Strong working knowledge of civil design, structural design, and analysis software such as Revit, Tekla (or equivalent). Why Arcadis?
