We're looking for a Structural Technician to join our growing Dublin team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality structural engineering projects across a diverse range of developments.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated technician who has gained solid experience in a consultancy environment and is now looking to further develop their technical skills, BIM capability, and project exposure. You'll work closely with experienced structural engineers and multidisciplinary design teams, producing coordinated and accurate construction information on a wide variety of exciting projects.
The Opportunity
As a Structural Technician, you'll play a key role in supporting the delivery of structural design projects from concept through to construction. You'll be responsible for producing detailed drawings and BIM models, contributing to coordinated design solutions, and ensuring high-quality technical output across all stages of project delivery.
Working from our Dublin office, you'll gain exposure to a broad range of building types and scales while continuing to build your experience within a supportive and collaborative consultancy environment.

What You'll Work On
You'll contribute to a varied and engaging portfolio of projects, including:
• Private residential developments (low-rise and high-rise)
• Public sector housing schemes for Local Authorities and the Land Development Agency (LDA)
• Commercial office developments
• Hotels and hospitality projects
• Industrial and manufacturing facilities
• Data centre developments
• Healthcare and education projects
• Refurbishment and adaptive reuse of existing buildings
• Commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects
Your Responsibilities
As a Structural Technician, you will:
• Prepare detailed structural drawings and BIM models using Revit and AutoCAD
• Produce general arrangement drawings, foundation layouts, and structural detailing
• Develop coordinated construction drawings and associated documentation
• Work closely with structural engineers to translate design concepts into buildable solutions
• Coordinate structural models with architectural, civil, and MEP disciplines
• Assist in the preparation of planning, tender, and construction-stage documentation
• Ensure drawings comply with Irish Building Regulations, Eurocodes, and project specifications
• Participate in BIM coordination and assist with clash detection and model reviews
• Incorporate design revisions accurately and efficiently
• Liaise with engineers, architects, contractors, and other members of the design team
• Attend site visits and surveys where required
• Maintain drawing registers and project documentation in line with company standards
• Support the ongoing development of BIM standards, templates, and workflows
What We're Looking For
Essential
• Diploma or Degree in Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architectural Technology, or a related discipline
• Approximately 3–5 years' experience working as a Structural Technician within a consultancy environment
• At least 2 years' experience within an Irish engineering consultancy
• Strong proficiency in Revit Structure and AutoCAD
• Experience producing structural drawings for building projects
• Good understanding of reinforced concrete, structural steel, and masonry detailing
• Familiarity with Irish Building Regulations and Eurocodes
• Experience working as part of multidisciplinary design teams
• Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
• Ability to manage your own workload and deliver work to deadlines
Desirable
• Experience with BIM 360, or similar BIM coordination tools
• Experience across residential, commercial, industrial, or public sector projects
