Role Purpose
Lead and supervise the delivery of security services within a busy acute hospital, ensuring the safety of patients, staff, visitors, and hospital assets while maintaining the highest standards of service and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, support, and develop a team of Security Officers and Team Leaders.
- Oversee security operations across all hospital areas, including high-risk environments.
- Respond to incidents, emergencies, and security breaches, coordinating with hospital management and emergency services as required.
- Monitor CCTV, access control, alarm systems, and other security technologies.
- Manage rostering, staffing levels, attendance, and payroll processes.
- Conduct investigations, complete reports, and ensure compliance with hospital policies, PSA regulations, GDPR, and health & safety requirements.
- Deliver training, coaching, and emergency preparedness exercises.
- Build strong relationships with key hospital stakeholders and contribute to continuous service improvement.
- Previous experience supervising security teams, ideally in healthcare or a high-risk environment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience managing incidents and emergency response situations.
- Knowledge of CCTV, access control, and security systems.
- Professional, resilient, and calm under pressure.
- Strong integrity and decision-making ability.
- Customer-focused with a commitment to safety and service excellence.
