Applications are invited for a temporary part-time (0.4FTE) post of a Teaching Fellow within UCD School of Electrical & Electronic Engineering.
We are hiring a Teaching Fellow to join an experimental teaching project about AI use in engineering education. TutorScale is a funded initiative (by SATLE) that will design, deliver, and honestly evaluate a new elective module in which engineering students will use large language models as structured tutoring tools to deepen their technical understanding.
The Teaching Fellow will drive of this work, in close collaborating with the project leads, Dr. John Healy and Dr. Paul Cuffe. They will design the curriculum and assessments, deliver the module twice across 2026-27, and lead the data collection and analysis that will tell us whether the approach is worth scaling elsewhere.
The post is 0.4 FTE for fifteen months, with some flexibility on which two days per week are worked on campus. For the right candidate it offers documented university teaching experience, demonstrable AI-in-education credentials, and peer-reviewed pedagogy publications.
Fixed Salary: €44,300 Per Annum (€17,720 @ 0.4 FTE)
