Post Summary: The Rowing Performance Coach is responsible for the coordination and delivery of a high-performance rowing programme aligned to supporting student-athletes and crews representing Dublin University Boat Club and Trinity College Dublin. This role requires someone with in-depth knowledge of the theory and practical delivery needed to support student-athletes in a performance-focused rowing environment, with a particular emphasis on senior crews and the club's 1st VIII.
The role involves delivering on-water and land-based coaching, overseeing technical and physical preparation, and contributing to athlete recruitment, talent identification, and season planning within the wider university performance sport pathway.
Post status: Specific Purpose Contract*
*The specific purpose of this employment is to establish a sustainable coaching structure and to co-ordinate and deliver a coaching and high performance rowing programme aligned with supporting student-athletes and crews representing Dublin University Board Club and Trinity College Dublin. This position is externally funded and therefore, this employment is not offered on an indefinite basis as this project is finite. Termination of this contract will occur on completion and delivery of the programme and/ or if external funding ceases.
Hours of Post: 35 hours per week
Salary: This appointment will be made on the Executive 3 Salary Scale (€43,941 - €52,754 per annum) at a point in line with current Government pay policy. monthly/weekly payscales. (tcd.ie)
