Post Summary:

The Financial Services Division (FSD) wishes to appoint a Payments & Compliance Coordinator -Finance Operations on a fixed term contract. The successful person will work as part of the Finance Operations Team and will be expected to make a dynamic contribution in the provision of a responsive, effective, and user-friendly financial support service for the University community and other stakeholders.

Reporting to the Accounts Payables Supervisor, the Payments & Compliance Coordinator - Financial Operations coordinates the following areas:
• Payment processing, the systematic handling of invoices, verification of payment requests, and the timely disbursement of funds, ensuring compliance with organisational policies and financial controls.
• Operational application of Revenue requirements to ensure tax compliance including the preparation and submission of tax returns to Revenue
• Co-ordinating and conducting transactional audits to ensure policy compliance for staff and non-staff reimbursements, supplier payments, and non-standard payment requests
• Supporting the optimisation of the payables, cash management and iExpenses modules and related ancillary systems.

Post status: Fixed-Term Contract

This contract is offered with effect from 1st August 2026 and will terminate on 31st July 2028. The successful candidate will be responsible for co-ordinating payment processing (including systematic handling of invoices and payment request verification) and ensuring TCD's compliance with local policies and financial controls, in addition to the operational application of Revenue requirements and the preparation/submission of tax returns on behalf of the University.

The duration of this contract is limited to the dates above as a review of the 'Financial Operations' function of FSD will be conducted in order to understand the longer-term resourcing requirements of the function. Therefore, this role is not offered on a permanent basis as the continuation of the post beyond the contact end date will be contingent upon the outcome of this review.

Hours of Post: 35 hours per week

Salary: This appointment will be made on the Administrative 3 Salary Scale (€47,848 - € 59,847 per annum) at a point in line with current Government pay policy. monthly/weekly payscales. (tcd.ie)
