As a Medical Advisor within our Sanofi Specialty Care Ireland medical team, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering the therapy area medical strategy for Ireland - driving evidence generation, building meaningful relationships with key external stakeholders, supporting market access initiatives, and contributing to the delivery of local clinical trials, all while championing ethical leadership and compliance. Main Responsibilities
  • Drive the medical strategy for your therapy area in Ireland, ensuring plans are grounded in patient and healthcare professional needs and translate into meaningful improvements in patient care.
  • Lead local evidence generation by identifying gaps, designing innovative approaches, and contributing to clinical plans that address the specific needs of the Irish healthcare landscape.
  • Build and nurture relationships with key external healthcare stakeholders, delivering high-quality scientific engagement and fostering long-term collaboration and trust.
  • Support market access efforts by providing medical expertise to help develop robust access strategies and contributing to health technology assessment submissions.
  • Enable local clinical trial delivery by working closely with internal teams and external partners to support the planning and execution of studies in Ireland.
  • Stay at the forefront of your field by continuously developing your scientific and technical expertise to engage at the highest level with healthcare professionals.
  • Champion ethical standards and compliance by applying industry codes of practice and company policies in everything you do, and taking personal accountability for governance in your role.


About You
  • Proven track record of engaging with healthcare professionals and external stakeholders on scientific and medical matters
  • Experience working within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, with familiarity of how regulatory and reimbursement processes work
  • Strong ability to critically appraise clinical evidence and research studies, and communicate complex scientific concepts clearly to diverse audiences
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to deliver scientific content with confidence
  • Proactive, independent working style with strong project management capabilities and the ability to build collaborative relationships across teams
  • Understanding of clinical trial design and real-world evidence approaches
  • Medical qualification (MBBS with licence to practice, or equivalent) OR pharmacy qualification (BPharm/MPharm with current registration) OR degree in biological/medical science - ideally with an advanced qualification (MD, PhD, or postgraduate medical qualification)
  • Fluent in English (essential for role-based engagement in Ireland)

The salary range for this position is :€73 200,00 - €97 600
Final compensation will be determined based on demonstrated experience, skills, location, and other relevant factors. Employees may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs.
