Join our Hygiene team and play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety across our production environment. Your work will directly support product quality, safety, and operational excellence.
Position type: Temporary Full-Time (Ending 07/09/2026)
Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday, 06:00 - 14:30
Pay rate: €14.63 per hour
Breaks: 30 minutes paid and 30 minutes unpaid
Closing date: 10/07/2026

Lir Chocolates produces a broad range of speciality chocolates under the Lir brand, as well as for major retail customers and other famous chocolate brands, all from our factory in Navan. We have three advanced production lines across two buildings, specialising in high-precision chocolate technologies such as panning, one-shot depositing, spinning, spraying, and decorative transfers. Our factory environment combines automated systems with artisan hand-finishing, creating unique packaging formats that add complexity and challenge to line design and maintenance

Responsibilities
- Complete scheduled and reactive cleaning tasks to maintain hygiene across offices, reception, bathrooms, and canteen areas, including washing floors and walls and emptying bins.
- Safely use cleaning chemicals.
- Ensure cleaning records and documentation are completed.
- Identify and report risks such as hazards, pest activity, or hygiene issues.
- Follow all Health & Safety, GMP, and hygiene procedures at all times.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a hygiene or cleaning role (experience in a manufacturing environment is desirable but not essential).
- Ability to work safely with chemicals (training advantageous)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work to high standards
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively under time pressure
