HX26-081: Physiotherapy Assistant & Pool Plant Operator (Specified Purpose - Internal)

  • 0.9 WTE (35 hours per week)
  • Temporary Specified purpose duration contract (6 months approx.)
  • H.S.E. funded
  • Based in Harold's Cross


The post holder will work under the direction and guidance of Chartered Physiotherapists to support the provision of physiotherapy services. Under supervision, s/he will carry out a flexible range of direct work with patients, and preparatory, cleaning and administrative duties as required.

Essential Requirements

Qualifications:
  • FETAC Level 5 Physiotherapy Assistant course or equivalent or working toward same.
  • Competent swimmer
  • Manual handling training certificate recognised by Our Lady's Hospice and Care Services
  • Willingness to undertake further in-house training

Experience:
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Relevant experience in a healthcare setting
  • Proficient in Microsoft packages including Word and Excel


Desirable Requirements

Qualifications:
  • Life guard qualification
  • Swim Teachers Assoc. (UK) accredited pool plant qualification


Experience:
  • Experience in specialist areas of OLH&CS - Rheumatic & Musculoskeletal Diseases, Palliative Care or Care of the Older Person
  • Experience working in a Physiotherapy Department
