About the role


As part of the firm's growing Marketing and Business Development team we have an exciting new opportunity for a Marketing Manager to join Flynn O'Driscoll. Reporting directly to the Head of Marketing, the role will act as an experienced deputy, leading projects, assisting other marketing team members, and driving a strategic approach to marketing across all practice areas.


This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced marketing professional to make a significant impact within a leading Irish law firm and to help embed best practice across the marketing function.


Specifically, the duties of the role are;


  • Taking ownership of the day-to-day deliverables of the marketing function, managing tasks without close supervision
  • Providing quality assurance over marketing output, reviewing and refining drafts, providing constructive feedback, and ensuring all materials meet the firm's standards
  • Taking primary responsibility for co-ordinating and drafting submissions to legal directories, tenders and award entries, ensuring submissions are comprehensive, well-evidenced and submitted to the highest standard
  • Overseeing content creation across multiple channels, including website, social media, email campaigns and marketing collateral
  • Supporting business development efforts across all practice areas, including the preparation of high-quality pitch materials and proposals
  • Providing senior-level support for the firm's expanded events programme, ensuring events are delivered to a high standard and deliver measurable value, including managing the firm's presence at external events
  • Supporting partners in developing thought leadership content, including articles and market commentary, to raise the firm's profile in key practice areas
  • Ensuring a consistent, high-quality approach to all marketing output to protect and enhance the firm's brand reputation
  • Mentoring and developing other members of the marketing team, improving overall team capability
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with a range of internal and external stakeholders


About the candidate:


A minimum of five years' marketing experience, ideally gained in a professional services environment
Third level qualification in marketing or equivalent
Proven experience of managing marketing projects and deliverables independently from inception to completion
Excellent written communication skills, with strong copywriting, editing and proof reading ability
Experience of mentoring or supervising junior colleagues and providing quality assurance over their work
Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to plan, prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality output
Experience of preparing pitch materials, proposals and legal directory submissions highly desirable
Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to engage effectively with senior colleagues
Proficiency with content management systems and email marketing platforms
Sound knowledge of digital marketing best practices
A proactive, commercially aware approach and the ability to work on their own initiative
