We're excited to advertise Workplace Project Manager, a new role within Workplace Services!

Reporting to the Head of Workplace, this role is responsible for managing and delivering a portfolio of workplace projects across the all-Ireland footprint. This role is critical to ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work majority of your week away from home. Away from home means either attendance at one of our head office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events.

This is a part-time (3 days per week) all-Ireland role requiring regular travel to project sites and stakeholder locations.

What you'll be doing:
  • Take ownership of the full project lifecycle from initiation through to closure, including development of project briefs and scope documentation, securing business sign-off, managing stakeholder coordination, controlling budgets, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Manage complex stakeholder relationships across business units and external vendors, maintain project governance, and ensure effective handover to the business with formal sign-off and satisfaction.
  • Lead the preparation and secure business sign-off of the Project Brief & Scope Document, ensuring clear definition of project objectives, deliverables, and success criteria
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, ensuring effective coordination of multiple concurrent projects aligned with portfolio priorities and organisational objectives
  • Prepare and control project budgets throughout the lifecycle, ensuring financial discipline, cost control, and optimal resource utilisation
  • Drive value engineering processes to identify cost savings and deliver best value for money without compromising quality
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement across business units and external partners, providing regular progress updates and managing expectations throughout the project
  • Coordinate business readiness activities and manage project handover to ensure smooth transition to business-as-usual operations with formal business sign-off and satisfaction
  • Ensure adherence to Health, Safety, Environmental regulations and AXA standards throughout all project phases
  • Lead the Post Project Review process to capture learnings and drive continuous improvement


About you:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in project management roles, managing multiple concurrent projects (essential)
  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required (essential)
  • Professional project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) (desirable)
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
  • Proven negotiation and problem-solving capability
  • Experience managing the development and implementation of solutions to deliver operational effectiveness across all project phases
  • Demonstrated experience delivering projects in a financial services environment
