The Role:
Customer Operations develop, deliver and support excellent customer experience and service to both domestic and non-domestic customers within a regulated industry. Customer Operations is responsible for managing the customer relationship with the Customer Contact Centre, ensuring timely and accurate customer billing services and effectively implementing the Uisce Éireann customer strategy.
Connections and Developer Services (CDS) are responsible for the customer engagement and stakeholder relationship management of all connections to the Uisce Éireann network. The CDS team manage the customer journey from development concept design, statutory planning process, pre-connection, technical design, site quality assurance, vesting of new asset and final connection and metering, including developing commercial/technical customer agreements, and managing customer funding in adherence to all technical standards, connection charging policy and governance requirements. CDS are responsible for delivering a highly effective customer service, including reviewing, and implementing solutions to meet changing customer needs. Collaboration with several key business partners is essential for the successful delivery of connections on behalf of the customer.
Reporting to the CDS Connections Quality Assurance Regional/Technical Manager, the Quality Assurance Analyst will play a key role in supporting governance, compliance, and process excellence across the CDS Field Engineer Team. The Quality Assurance Analyst will drive adherence to process and governance requirements during the UE Quality Assurance phase of Self-Lay developments.
Responsibilities include monitoring and ensuring timely management and close-out of connection work orders, supporting accurate revenue recognition, and tracking estimated connection dates to enable precise revenue forecasting for the business. The role will also oversee developer engagement once Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are executed, ensuring consistent and effective interaction with Uisce Éireann.
A key focus of the role is maintaining and improving knowledge management within the team, promoting continuous improvement and development of process-related skills. The Quality Assurance Analyst will monitor and identify training needs for the Field Engineer Team relating to internal processess, respond to queries form Team members, and support the development of capability in line with UE processes.
Additionally, the role will take responsibility for monitoring, managing, and reporting on compliance across all CDS Field Engineer activities, including adherence to defined KPIs and the delivery of high-quality, accurate compliance reporting The role holder will work closely with other CDS Teams and UE Finance and will also support the development and delivery of process improvements, working closely with the CDS Commercial and Process Teams, Work Programmes and Scheduling Teams.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide structured business and administrative support to the National Development Manager, contributing to the effective delivery of Connections and Developer Services activities within the team
- Collect, analyse, and maintain operational data, including the monitoring and reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs) to support performance management and service delivery oversight.
- Support the planning and coordination of operational activities through the preparation and administration of work orders for field teams.
- Coordinate and administer training activities, including scheduling events, maintaining accurate training records, and supporting compliance with organisational and regulatory training requirements.
- Support the promotion of a safe system of work, ensuring adherence to health and safety legislation, Uisce Éireann policies, and organisational standards across field operations.
- Manage and investigate escalated complaints and work programme queries from field teams, ensuring issues are documented, resolved, and communicated to relevant stakeholders within required timeframes.
- Provide operational support to field teams in relation to Conformance Certification Report queries, KPI reporting, and compliance-related matters.
- Support the collation and reporting of financial and cost-related information within field team reports, contributing to audit, governance, and financial assurance processes.
- Act as a central point of contact for queries from internal specialist teams, ensuring information is accurately captured and escalated appropriately in collaboration with the National Development Manager.
- Ensure that all operational, compliance, and financial information is accurately recorded and reported using approved Uisce Éireann systems in line with audit and data governance requirements.
- Contribute to the development, review, and improvement of business processes and procedures to enhance efficiency, compliance, and service quality.
- Provide support to task forces, focus groups, and cross-functional initiatives established to address specific organisational priorities.
- Undertake line management and performance management responsibilities, where assigned, in line with Uisce Éireann policies and procedures.
- Contribute to achieving the objectives and targets of the Customer Operations Business plans
- Carry out additional duties as required, consistent with the level and responsibilities of the role.

- Responsible for promoting and delivering health and safety commitments across UÉ and its supply chain, reinforcing positive behaviours and delivering health and safety objectives and requirements to the highest industry standards
- Support the delivery of the Uisce Éireann Transformation Programme, driving results required within the Directorate and supporting organisation-wide objectives
- Conducts duties and responsibilities in accordance with Uisce Éireann's Information Security policies, standards, processes and controls to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of UÉ business information and delivery of critical services, in accordance with the NIS Directive and any other relevant cybersecurity regulation
- Other duties as required
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Relevant third level qualification and or accreditation is desirable and or relevant experience
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in the water, utilities or similar industries is desirable
- Experience in independently resolving customer challenges while maintaining high service standards.
- Ability to develop effective partnerships with a wide range of stakeholders and ability to look for and listen to diverse perspectives.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to identify and analyse problems and make improvement decisions that benefit the team/communities.
- Proven track record in identifying opportunities for process improvements and innovation.
- Demonstrate the ability to fix safety issues quickly and look for improvements in line with business strategy
