Applications are invited for a permanent post of a Senior IT Specialist - Educational Technologies Services within UCD IT Services.
The successful appointee will work as an Educational Technologies specialist within the Customer and Academic Services group delivering projects and services related to the provision of emerging educational technologies for the university community. The Customer & Academic Services Group is responsible for providing general and specialised IT support services to all users in UCD. Within this group, Educational Technology Services provide a wide range of technologies to assist with teaching and research including the Brightspace Virtual Learning Environment and expertise in developing various types of visual content, and collaborative learning.
The successful appointee will operate with a high degree of initiative and autonomy and will have the ability to deliver a full service, process or system to a defined audience. The position requires a high level of customer service, analytical and technical skills and is suitable for someone with a keen interest in building strong, collaborative relationships within the University. High level experience of a varied technical infrastructure and demanding service environment is important. The work involves considerable interaction with staff, students and the wider University community and the successful applicant will have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, together with tact and discretion.
95 Programmer I_2010 (0145_X) Salary Scale: €60,673 - €72,929 Per Annum
Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines
