Who are we looking for?

At Carne Group, we have a fantastic opportunity for an ESG Risk professional to join the growing and dynamic ESG Risk team in the Dublin office.

What are the minimum requirements you need for the role?

  • 2-5 years of experience in asset management industry, with a focus on Sustainability Risk or SFDR
  • Previous experience of Sustainability Risk, SFDR, Taxonomy Regulation and/or SDR in an investment firm, a consulting firm, or a Management Company / AIFM
  • Professional qualification in a ESG related discipline is an advantage
  • Knowledge of asset classes and their sub-categories and working with portfolio holdings files.
  • Collaborative and solutions-focused, with a willingness to support colleagues
  • Strong communication, analytical and project management skills


What is your role and your responsibilities?
  • Identify, assess and monitor sustainability risks affecting the funds managed by Carne
  • Support during the onboarding process in terms of ESG and sustainability, including review of the SFDR Pre-contractual disclosures
  • Support on the monitoring of the SFDR limits of the Article 8 and Article 9 funds, including review of the SFDR periodic disclosures and breach management
  • Develop and implement sustainability risk and SFDR frameworks in line with the regulatory requirements
  • Stay abreast of regulatory changes in terms of ESG and Sustainability risk topics and update the Sustainability and ESG-risk frameworks accordingly, including SFDR 2.0
  • Prepare presentation for internal knowledge and for internal and external committees, including periodic report to Fund Board and Management Company Board
  • Liaise with fund's stakeholders such as investment managers, administrators, auditors, etc.
  • Support client delivery and business development from an ESG perspective
  • Support on ongoing or ad hoc regulatory reporting in terms of Sustainability risk and SFDR
  • Provide training and coaching to strengthen team capability
