We provide a wide range of support to children and adults including Day, Residential and Respite services in various locations across Dublin, Meath, Limerick, Tipperary and Offaly.

CONFINED INTERNAL COMPETITION

Avista are delighted to introduce a new model of service as part of a quality improvement initiative for those who access our service. Avista are establishing a team which will provide specialist clinical supports in line with individual needs and best practice. The team will provide governance and oversight for selected residential services and high support respite service.

The provision will include in-reach, expert clinical support to existing MDTs where there has been an identified need in line with the Disability Regional Enhanced Services and Supports for Complex Behaviour (DRESS) model (NCPPD, 2023).

We are excited to welcome applications from colleagues interested in joining our new Behaviour & Therapeutic Support Team. Both of these roles, based in Dublin, are permanent full-time contracts. (35 hours per week)

A. Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapist (Adult Services).

Salary*: € 72,119 - 83,689.

B. Clinical Specialist Speech & Language Therapist (Adult Services).

Salary*: € 72,119 - 83,689.

*Salary subject to Relevant Public Sector Experience and pro-rated for hours of work.

NB. Both of these permanent positions attract a specialist qualification allowance. These posts are confined to internal recruitment only as the successful applicants' current posts will not be backfilled.

Essential:
  • A degree in clinical speech and language therapy / occupational therapy or equivalent CORU registered qualification.
  • Up to date CORU registration.
  • 3 years' post qualification experience.
  • Speech and Language professionals must have dysphagia training.
  • Experience working in High Support service with focus on Autism/complex behaviour needs.
  • Full clean Irish Driving licence and use of a car.
  • Proficiency in the English language.
