Purpose of the role
The purpose of this post is to provide logistics support within New Children's Hospital NCHI.
The post holder will also provide logistics support to the two Urgent day care units within CHI, Connolly and Tallaght and to CHI in Crumlin and any other location that may come under the management of CHI.
The holder will work with all key stakeholders for the day to day deliveries of all products into the goods in area, checking what is ordered is delivered and GRNing the receipt into SAP.
The Holder will be responsible for placing all product so that it can be moved throughout the hospital by AGVs.
The Holder will be responsible for removing product from AGVs and bringing these to their end destination point and putting the stock away as directed.
The Holder will be responsible for ensuring all Vehicles arriving to site are directed to their unloading Bay as per Open Dock system.
The holder will be responsible for unloading all vehicles using equipment such as Fork Lift, Power Lifts and Manual Lifting equipment.
The holder will be a key administrator for the stock scanning Solution when required to use same.
The holder will be responsible for putting away all stock in Kanban's or other storage locations as required.
Liaise with all staff/ personnel in the hospital wards and departments to ensure effective communications when responding to requests and or queries always promoting a professional manner.
Ensure Communication to Buyers and coordinating movement of any stock returns.
Ensure the timely and accurate information is supplied to the buyers - planners - information / requests from areas reorder information etc.

Essential Criteria
- Achieved leaving Certificate/QQI Level 6 or equivalent qualification or proof of commitment to complete equivalent qualification.
- Have at least 2 years supply chain / logistics and inventory management experience in a highly regulated and fast moving environment, with a strong preference for experience within healthcare operation.
- IT Literate, with transactional knowledge within SAP and knowledge of Excel.
- Competent in handling hand held technology devices.
