Purpose of the role
The Building Fabric Manager will lead management, maintenance, and development of the hospital's building envelope, finishes, and interiors, ensuring a safe, high-quality, and compliant environment for all users including:
The Estates and Facilities department provides a number of essential services to CHI and is responsible for managing, maintaining and developing the infrastructure and building fabric of the various CHI sites.
This role will be a trusted advisor to all CHI Facilities Management, and it requires someone who is a strong Leader, process driven with excellent organisational abilities. You should have extensive experience in Facilities Management as an Estate and Facilities Management service; be customer focused and have a passion for excellence.

- liaising with stakeholders,
- reporting and delivering progress reports
- ensuring adherence to relevant compliances and CHIs models of work
- supporting with the dept. administration.

Essential Criteria
- Third level qualification or equivalent relevant experience with proven expertise in Building Fabric Maintenance
- Authorised Person (AP) qualified in two relevant areas and a commitment to undertake responsibility for these areas when required. Candidates who are not presently AP qualified are required to obtain this qualification within six months from starting in post.
- Significant experience in building, systems and safety management of building infrastructure, ideally in a hospital or complex environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of regulatory and standards compliance for advertised role
- Track record of managing and delivering projects, budgets, contractors, and multidiscipline teams.
- Excellent oral, written, and client-facing skills.
- Computer literate, competent in Microsoft suite
