Applications are invited for a temporary part-time post of a Design Fellow - Architecture within UCD School of Architecture, Planning and Environmental Policy.

The School of Architecture, Planning and Environmental offers a range of undergraduate and graduate teaching programmes professionally accredited by the Royal Institute of British Architects, the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland, the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB), the Royal Town Planning Institute, the Irish Planning Institute and the Irish Landscape Institute. Students are enabled to think creatively, critically and holistically about sustainable places, whether in design practice or through transferring knowledge to action in the policy and planning process. Moreover, the School offers the only undergraduate landscape architecture programme on the island of Ireland, accredited by the ILI.
UCD's Design Fellow posts are targeted at professional-practice-based architects who are at the forefront of the profession and the discipline in industry. The successful candidate will be active in professional practice and be asked to contribute to the delivery of the School's teaching programmes in studio and seminars and may also be asked to contribute to the school's activities in innovation.
Particular to this position:
Hours of Work: This role is based on a 27 week year per annum. Your employment year will commence on the first day of term on the first semester for each academic year and terminate at the completion of reading week of the first term (13 Weeks). It will recommence on the first day of term for the second semester and will complete on the last day of term of second semester (14 Weeks).
Remuneration: The salary will be per annum pro-rata (0.3 FTE) i.e. 30% of the point on the pay scale. This is a full time (52.18 Week) salary, adjusted to the 27 weeks for which you will be employed and scaled proportionately according to the FTE referred to in your hours of work below.
95 Admin Officer I_2010 (0172_X) Salary Scale: €53,876- €72,929 Per Annum (Salary will be adjusted and paid to 27 weeks and scaled proportionality according to FTE)
Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines
Closing date: 12:00 noon (local Irish time) on 16 July 2026.
