This role sets the strategic direction for the site, aligns cross-functional leaders around business priorities, and ensures the capabilities, talent, and operating systems are in place to deliver sustainable results, continuous improvement, and future-ready manufacturing excellence.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead the Anngrove site with full accountability for operational performance, ensuring delivery against safety, quality, service, cost and people objectives.
- Embed Lean manufacturing principles, leader standard work and continuous improvement disciplines into the daily management of the site so that waste reduction, problem solving and process excellence are part of how the business operates every day.
- Champion a highly engaged employee environment through visible leadership, clear communication, strong talent development, and a culture of high standards, accountability, decency, respect, recognition & inclusion.
- Lead the site leadership team to align functional priorities, remove barriers to execution, and ensure integrated site decision-making across manufacturing, engineering, quality, supply chain, EHS and other core functions.
- Ensure Anngrove remains at the forefront of manufacturing technology by supporting innovation, capability expansion and operational excellence in additive manufacturing and 3D printing.
- Set and execute a site strategy aligned to divisional and global business priorities, with a strong focus on long-term capability, resilience, customer performance and growth readiness.
- Sponsor and govern major continuous improvement, capital, capacity and technology initiatives to ensure the site is positioned to meet current and future business needs.
- Build organizational capability by selecting, developing and retaining strong leaders and teams, and by creating clear succession and development plans for critical roles.
- Maintain robust governance and compliance across the site, ensuring adherence to regulatory, quality, EHS and corporate standards in a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
- Represent the site credibly with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership, customers, visitors and audit bodies, while promoting a strong and consistent site culture.
- Drive financial performance through disciplined planning, budgeting, forecasting and prioritization, while ensuring appropriate investment in people, technology and infrastructure.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, operations, supply chain, business or a related discipline.
- 10+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing, operations or a related environment, including responsibility for business performance through others.
- Proven track record of building high-performing, engaged teams and leading through change in a complex environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree preferred.
- Experience leading in a medical device or similarly regulated manufacturing environment.
- Deep knowledge of Lean manufacturing systems and continuous improvement, with evidence of embedding these principles at site level.
- Demonstrated ability to lead employee engagement, talent development and culture-building initiatives that improve organizational performance.
- Strong strategic capability, business acumen and experience balancing short-term execution with long-term site capability building.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing across matrixed organizations.
- Technical appreciation for advanced manufacturing technologies, ideally including additive manufacturing or 3D printing.
- Strong communication, executive presence and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to lead confidently at site, divisional and global level.
