Reference 2026-17738 Line Of Business FREIGHT MANAGEMENT Position description Type of assignment Full-time Regular Function Support function - Finance Job title Finance Business Partner Position requirements and constraints (working hours...) 40 hours per week Mon-Fri 9am-6pm flexible around business needs Job description Responsible for ensuring accuracy of the daily accounting activities of the AP & GL Team based in Chennai, through analysis of data and supporting the team as required with queries. Responsible for ensuring Geodis Financial Controls are adhered to on an ongoing basis. Review month end results to ensure reporting accuracy and report to Finance Controller. Participate in the ME daily meetings WD1 - WD5. Provide analysis of variances to Prior Month, Prior Year & Budget for inclusion in the Monthly Management Letter. Balance Sheet Management - covering the daily, weekly & monthly Reconciliations with our Shared Service Finance team. Responsible for managing currency balances and treasury management. Maintain compliance with VAT, corporation tax, and payroll taxes, working with our Tax Advisors as required on Tax Planning. Support the external auditor during the Annual Audit Process to resolve outliers. Support the forecasting and annual budgeting processes to review stage, ensuring alignment with growth targets and timelines. Work with Operations and other Dept as necessary to ensure Internal controls are adhered to and issues are resolved in a professional and timely manner. Financial & KPI Modelling to support the wider business functions. Assist with Ad hoc projects Applicant's profile Essential Education and/or Training Must be technically competent and ideally ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified Experience with SAP would also be beneficial. Must be willing to travel to visit the UK & Group HQ to support Operational performance as required from a Finance Perspective. Must be willing to participate in Regional & Group Meetings and training as required. Essential Experience and Knowledge Can work in a fast-paced commercial environment with the ability to manage multiple deliverables and large volumes. Can turn numbers into actionable insight & challenge assumptions. Experience in a multinational company and ideally working with overseas finance colleagues. Experience in freight/logistics desirable but not essential. Essential Behavioural Competencies Sound knowledge of financial controls & ability to mentor FA & Chennai Team. Strong people management skills - experience of effectively liaising with a high performing remote team. Professional and self-motivated with the ability to actively engage and build relationships with key stakeholders across the business. Possess strong analytical skills.
