Due to continued growth and expansion, our client is now seeking an experienced CNC Operator to join their production team in Tralee.
The Role
ISS Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of our client for a skilled and motivated CNC Operator.
This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a modern manufacturing facility where quality, precision and continuous improvement are at the heart of every project. You'll play a key role in producing high-quality bespoke components while ensuring production targets, quality standards and safety procedures are consistently achieved.
Key Responsibilities
Set up, operate and monitor CNC machinery to produce components to engineering drawings and specifications.
Prepare and load raw materials into CNC machines.
Read and interpret technical drawings, plans and machining specifications.
Edit CNC programmes for minor adjustments where required.
Machine components to a high level of precision and tolerance.
Carry out quality inspections using measuring and inspection equipment.
Record inspection results in accordance with company procedures.
Troubleshoot machining issues and make adjustments to maintain production quality.
Perform routine preventative maintenance and basic machine servicing.
Report equipment faults or defects promptly.
Assist with forward planning of production schedules, tooling and materials.
Finish, label and prepare completed parts for the next stage of production.
Monitor stock levels and notify management of material requirements.
Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
Work closely with colleagues to ensure production deadlines are achieved.
Follow all company Health Safety procedures and policies at all times.
What We're Looking For
Minimum 1 year's experience operating CNC machinery, ideally within the woodworking, cabinetry or joinery industry.
Strong understanding of CNC machine setup, operation and programming.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering specifications.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Strong mechanical aptitude and mathematical ability.
Experience using measuring and inspection equipment.
Good computer and technical skills.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
Knowledge of woodworking machinery and manufacturing processes is highly desirable.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative production team.
Strong organisational skills with excellent timekeeping and attendance.
Technical qualification or relevant certification is advantageous but not essential.
