ABOUT THE ROLE

The People Partner acts as the primary HR point of contact for the Galway Toppan site, providing end-to-end operational HR support across all people pillars, while working in close partnership with the Global HR Manager.

This role operates as the first line of HR support for site leadership and employees, managing day-to-day HR activities, employee relations, recruitment delivery, and people processes. The HR People Partner serves as a key interface between the site and the central HR function, acting as a buffer, escalation point, and communication conduit for people-related matters.

While the People Partner holds operational ownership of site-level HR delivery, strategic direction, complex case escalation, and functional governance remain with the HR Manager. The role requires strong judgement, autonomy, and the ability to manage operational complexity while ensuring alignment with broader HR strategy and standards.

In addition to site-based responsibilities, the HR People Partner acts as a recruitment partner across multiple sites, supporting hiring managers and partnering closely with the HR Manager on workforce planning and talent acquisition.

Main missions:
  • Be the trusted HR partner for our Galway site, supporting managers and employees while building strong, collaborative relationships.
  • Lead employee relations with confidence, providing practical advice and managing complex people matters with fairness and integrity.
  • Attract and hire great talent by partnering with managers to deliver an exceptional end-to-end recruitment and onboarding experience.
  • Champion performance and development, helping our people grow through coaching, engagement, learning, and succession planning.
  • Own payroll inputs, ensuring employee data and payroll changes are accurate, timely, and compliant.
  • Drive HR compliance, maintaining high standards across employment legislation, policies, HR systems, and governance.
  • Partner with business leaders to support organisational change, workforce planning, and strategic people initiatives.
  • Make a real impact by contributing to HR projects, continuous improvement initiatives, and an outstanding employee experience.
