Who are we looking for?
We are currently recruiting for a Central Compliance Associate Director to join our dynamic workplace here at Carne Group, based out of our Dublin Office. The ideal candidate will be an ambitious, experienced, driven compliance professional who is looking to manage, grow and develop a compliance team in a fast-growing financial services firm.
Furthermore, several years of experience in team management-along with excellent communication skills that enable the candidate to communicate effectively across all hierarchical levels and to enforce compliance-related objectives and aspects-are indispensable.
You will work closely with members of the senior management teams and other compliance teams across Carne's global locations.

You will work closely with members of the senior management teams and other compliance teams across Carne's global locations.
What are the minimum requirements you need for the role?
- University degree (or equivalent qualification) and ideally with the relevant Compliance or legal qualification;
- Sound grasp of local legal and regulatory framework;
- Experience of AIF, UCITS and other fund products;
- Minimum of 8 years' compliance experience in the funds industry;
- Ideally Management Company/AIFM and/or MiFID experience;
- Excellent English written and oral communication skills;
- Ability to analyse complex issues;
- Strong ability to evaluate regulations and translate the operational impact;
- Experience in developing and carrying out a Compliance Monitoring Programme; and
- Team player and team manager with a proactive attitude towards anticipating emerging risks.
What is your role and your responsibilities?
- Ensure the team meets its operational, strategic, and regulatory targets within agreed timelines.
- Coach and support professional development of team members, monitor individual and team performance and provide constructive feedback;
- Actively participate in designing and executing Carne's Compliance Monitoring Plan (CMP), ensuring our standards remain robust and effective;
- Analyse regulatory matters impacting Carne entities globally, drawing on your understanding of our business and regulatory landscape;
- Lead the regulatory change process, identifying new regulations, reporting to stakeholders, and overseeing implementation within the firm;
- Support local compliance teams with regulatory interactions, using your established relationships and knowledge of internal processes;
- Oversee the effectiveness of the systems and controls, policies and procedures in place within the first line (the "business") and make recommendations on future developments;
- Maintain compliance logs and registers, and ensure the annual staff training program is delivered effectively;
- Prepare periodic reports to local compliance teams, Boards and committees, as appropriate, on compliance issues (CMP, regulatory changes, training, policies);
- Providing advice and assistance to the business with regulatory matters and in meeting regulatory standards and expectations;
- Prepare relevant management information for presentation to the stakeholders and upon request to clients;
- Oversee Carne's regulatory reporting requirements in multiple global jurisdictions;
- Represent the Compliance function in local or group wide working groups and project teams;
- Maintain Compliance Policies across the Carne Group in partnership with local compliance teams; and
- Continue to foster a strong compliance culture within Carne.
