Role Brief:

You will play a key role in the managing the sites overall IT business objectives. The role will Interface with all areas of the business & participate in all aspects of the manufacturing through implementation & day to day support.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Actively dissect business processes to discover and document pertinent business requirements, identifying solutions, assessing feasibility.
  • Steer the business unit towards innovative solutions that are not only feasible but also align with broader business strategy.
  • Address the comprehensive IT needs of the business unit with expertise and foresight.
  • Support the site, critical manufacturing systems, Interface with the business, assist with change control documentation and participate in testing schedules, delivery and testing coordination.
  • Supports system software upgrades including planning and scheduling & testing with operations.
  • Ensures policies and standards adherence is consistent with Corporate/ Division standards.
  • Supports and enforces audit compliant policies and standards.
  • Ensures Local IT has business continuity/disaster recovery plans and participates in testing of plans, as necessary and monitors results of business continuity testing.
  • Act as the primary liaison between the IT and business areas, supporting applications, in areas such as Manufacturing
  • Partner and collaborate with key IT staff of other divisions to support cross divisional business initiatives and explore IT synergies and efficiencies.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with key software vendors as well as counterparts at other Pharma companies.
  • Review and monitor area IT budgets, project capital/RCE expenditures and IT team budgets, project capital/RCE expenditures. Continually look for opportunities for cost reductions and cost avoidance.
  • Lead and mentor junior staff.
  • Coordination of local and remote resources for project delivery and support.

Skills: Brief:
  • Experience working with operating procedures, policies and processes in a GMP environment - Pharma/Life Sciences or Medical Devices. Candidates without this experience cannot be considered.
  • Knowledge of one or more of the following technologies used for IT Manufacturing and/or R&D Lab: MES, OPC, LIMS, ERP, etc.
  • Cyber Security controls monitoring, reporting and patch management in a high availability manufacturing environment.
  • Data Analytics, Predictive Analytics or Asset Performance Management technology experience.
  • Hands on experience interfacing with a database technology, example Oracle, SQL, RDS, etc.
  • Demonstrated Cloud architecture experience with UNS an advantage
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to run multiple work stream projects in parallel.

Person Brief:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computing or equivalent in Manufacturing or Engineering discipline.
  • 5 years plus experience working in IT / MES environment with direct manufacturing systems exposure.
  • Strong evidence of the delivery of complex IT projects in life sciences manufacturing.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, written & verbal communication skills are essential.
  • The role is based on site in Donegal so you must be living in the area or able to relocate in a short time frame and be able to be onsite daily

We are hiring into our European team in the following countries: Ireland - Donegal

Fluency in oral and written English is a must. A second language (German, Danish, Italian, Spanish or French) is always an advantage it is but not essential.
