About the Job

The IT & Digital Transformation (IT&DT) Team plays a key role in enabling Dublin Simon Community to deliver its mission more efficiently through technology.

As part of a small and collaborative internal team, the IT & Digital Transformation Officer supports the organisation's digital transformation agenda, assists with IT operations, and ensures that technology tools and systems empower staff across all departments. This role combines technical support, systems administration, and innovation. The successful candidate will contribute to implementing digital projects, improving system performance, and exploring new mobile device management technologies.

Location: Smithfield: Dublin 7

Hours: From 9 to 5:30 - Onsite

Contract: Permanent

Salary: 35,000 - 47,500

Reports to: IT & Digital Transformation Manager

Responsibilities
  • Be the first point of contact to internal staff for mobile phone issues, troubleshooting, replacements, etc.
  • Assist in building laptops, and troubleshooting soft and hardware issues
  • Liaise with external Telecom Provider on ordering and billing queries.
  • Maintain and enhance user databases with other third-party vendors.
  • Keep track and fully document IT asset registers for user equipment.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of IT processes, documentation, and digital practices.
  • Act as a point of contact between staff and IT, understanding issues and directing queries.
  • Propose and implement technological solutions that help staff and management.
  • Work on projects to digitally transform the organisation covering all aspects of IT.


Minimum qualifications and skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in, Information Technology, System Administration, Telecommunications, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 year of experience in Mobile Device Management within a customer-facing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft tools, applications and products.
  • Proven experience with Intune administration in M365 environment
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.


Desirable
  • Experience working in a phone shop or customer support.
  • Problem-solving mindset with creativity and adaptability.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Entra and Remote Monitoring & Management.
  • Experience in Microsoft Intune.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Driven to investigate issues and analyse root causes.
  • Financial or procurement knowledge.
  • An interest in technology and the latest commercial solutions.
  • Knowledge of application development is a plus.
